At the AGM Paul Darling and Fiona-Frances Adam stood down from the Board, and on behalf of my fellow Directors I’d like to thank them for their contributions during their tenure.

Haddington Town Centre Project

Since the summer, consultants Ironside Farrar have delivered three engagement events on behalf of East Lothian Council and the Project Steering Group* to inform the development of public realm proposals for Haddington Town Centre. ‎

The consultation events have been very well attended with a positive dialogue about needs, challenges and making the most of the Towns assets for locals, businesses and visitors. You can find more detail about the proposals here.

Haddington 700

2018 is a big year for Haddington! We celebrate the 700th anniversary of Robert the Bruce granting a Royal Charter to the Town.  This Charter gave the town the rights to hold a market and indeed collect customs! A number of celebrations are being planned, and as these develop, full details will be available on

On behalf of the Trust’s Board I, thank you for your continued support during 2017, and wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
